Top JeM Commander Kaiser Koka among two militants killed in Awantipora

Pulwama, July 11: A top commander of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Kaiser Koka, was among two militants killed in an encounter in Awantipora area south Kashmir’s Pulwama, officials said on Monday here.

Terming his killing a major success for the security forces, a top official said that the notorious militant of JeM terror outfit identified as Kaiser Koka was active since 2018.

He said that the identification of 2nd terrorist being ascertained. Incriminating materials, arms & ammunition including 01 USA made rifle (M-4 Carbine), 01 pistol and other materials have been recovered. He said the search operation was still going on.

Earlier, officials said that as the search party proceeded towards the suspected spot during the operation, the hiding terrorists fired indiscriminately at it, which was retaliated effectively leading to a gunbattle.
