SANJY-2022 coordination meeting held at District Police Headquarters Budgam
JUNE 28: Shri Amar Nath Ji Yatra (SANJY-2022) security review meeting was held at District Police Headquarters Budgam. The meeting was chaired by SSP Budgam Shri Tahir Saleem-JKPS which was attended by CO 35 Bn CRPF Shri Nikhil Rastogi , CO 43 Bn CRPF Shri P.K Goswami, CO BSF (Adhoc K-6) Shri Jashkaran Singh, Addl. SP Budgam, 2IC 29 Bn CRPF, 2IC 73 Bn CRPF, 2IC 25 Bn CRPF, officers of 62 RR and 20 RR, DySP Headquarters Budgam, DySP DAR DPL Budgam, DySP Ops Budgam & other police officers of Budgam Police and CRPF.
During the review meeting rationalisation of deployment, covering of laterals, interior deployment, corridor deployment, threats and counter-measures were discussed as the 43-day-long pilgrimage is scheduled to commence from June 30 and will conclude by August 11.
During the meeting the officers briefed SSP Budgam about the on ground deployment and the final security arrangements for pilgrimage scheduled to start from thursday morning.
SSP Budgam stressed on officers to maintain close synergy and round the clock monitoring of yatra routes and emphasized that multiple checking points must be established for restricting unauthorized vehicles movement/parking enroute to avoid chaotic situations. He also emphasized on the supervisory officers for ensuring briefing and debriefing, strengthening of the intelligence grid on ground, alertness of deployed nafri, intensified legal action on OGWs and following all the SOPs in letter and spirit.
The meeting ended with a note of better coordination & cooperation among all the sister agencies.
