Budgam Police arrests drug peddler; Contraband Substance recovered

JUNE 28: In continuation of case FIR No.117/2022, Budgam Police arrested one more drug peddler & recovered contraband substance from his possession.

During investigation of case FIR No.117/22, a team from Police Station Chadoora arrested a drug peddler & recovered 01 Bottle of codeine Phosphate based syrup (Mavere-x), controlled drug & 5.5 Kgs of poppy straw from his possession.
The arrested drug peddler was identified as Arifat Ahmed Yatoo son of Mohammad Maqbool Yatoo resident of Dalipora Nagam

The drug peddler was arrested on the disclosure of arrested Firdous Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Ahmad Wani resident of Chadoora. He was arrested on June 26 2022 along with 66 bottles of apparently Cholorpheniramine maleate & Codeine Phosphate based syrup (MAVERE-X) 100 ml, in case FIR No. 117/2022.
Further investigation into the case is still going on.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood.Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
