Massive fire breaks out in sherpora area in Anantnag Town, several houses gutted

Anantnag,17 June: A massive fire broke out in the Sherpora area of Anantnag town in south Kashmir Anantnag District on late Friday. According to reports, several residential houses were gutted in the fire.
Talking to Arising state an official said that the fire broke out from a residential house and later engulfed the nearby residential structures as well.
Following the incident, the fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused the flames. However, several houses were damaged in the massive blaze,” he said.
He said that the properties worth lacs of rupees were completely gutted in the blaze.
“The cause of the fire were ascertain while there were no reports of any loss of life or injury during the incident,” the official added.
