Two critical,seven injured after CRPF bullet-proof vehicle overturns in Srinagar
Seven Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel including a sub-inspector were injured in a road accident in Parimpora area of Srinagar on Saturday, reports said.
According to a local news gathering agency a bullet-proof bunker vehicle of CRPF 53 BN (G Coy) bearing registration number JK05D-1081 turned turtle at Parimpora, leaving seven troopers injured.
The injured were rushed to a private hospital where from they were referred to SMHS for specialised treatment, it said.
Quoting a police officer, the report said two among the injured, namely Sub Inspector GD Paswan and Head Constable Gulzar Ahmad are said to be critical.
Three among the five injured have been identified as Head Constable Sanjeev Kumar, Constable Chandra Prakash and Constable Damroo Googoi.
“A case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigations taken up,” the officer said.
