Grenade lobbed in Budgam, no injuries reported

Budgam, Apr 19 : Unknown gunmen on Tuesday evening hurled a grenade on police station in Budgam, which exploded outside the gate ,official sources said.

However, no loss of life or injury was reported in the incident.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Budgam said that militants lobbed grenade towards police station Budgam, which exploded outside the gate.

He said that an alert santry fired upon the militants but they managed to escape taking advantage of the darkness.

The area has been cordoned off  for search and nakas laid on escape routes to nab the attackers.
