Geelani’s son asks NIA to return his ‘gadgets’ as it ‘hampers official work’
Syed Naseem Geelani, son of Hurriyat Conference (G) chairperson Syed Ali Geelani has asked the National Investigation Agency to return all his gadgets that were seized by the NIA sleuths last month, as it hampers his Government work.
Naseem works as a Scientist (SG) in Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology.
“NIA raided my residence on 26th February 2019, from 10 am to 3.45 PM and took away all my electronic gadgets including my laptop, my mobile phones along with sim cards, hard drives, pen drives and memory cards on which I have stored all my files related to my research, teaching, extension and students welfare activities,” he said. He further said , he was logged in on all the applications on his laptop including social media,bank and emails at the time of seizure of his laptop.His work at the university including his personal work is getting hampered due to the unnecessary troll by the NIA team ‘,said Nayeem.
