Two unidentified militants killed in Shopian encounter: Police

Srinagar, Dec 25 : Two unidentified militants have been killed in an encounter in Chowgam village of Shopian district today morning, police said here.

An official said that encounter broke out in the village late last night, following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

He said that in the ensuing encounter two unidentified militants have been killed and incriminating material including arms and ammunition has been recovered from the site.

The official said that identities of the slain were being ascertained, while search operation was going on.(KNS)
