Congress General Secretary visits various areas of Tral, sought rederssal of developmental issues
Srinagar, Nov 03 : The Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) General Secretary on Wednesday rued lack of development in Tral area of Pulwama District, urging the LG administration to address developmental issues
JKPCC General Secretary Surinder Singh Channi during a daylong tour of Pulwama urged the Government to ensure adequate supply basic necessities like ration, Kerosene Oil etc to the people before winter engulfs valley.
During long tour, PCC General Secretary visited Chidibug, Nigeenpora, Chaterogram, Gulshanpora & Diver, where he met various local delegations, who complained about pressing developmental issues concerning them on account of macdamization/repairing of link roads, electricity curtailment and absence of various other basic facilities including health facilities and sought their redressal.
Surinder Singh Channi while expressing serious concern laid emphasizes over repair of road from Gurduwara Boarding House to Nigeenpora , main road to Gulshanpora, Link road which were in a dilapidated condition and sought their macdamization on war footing basis as these roads were awaiting necessary repairs and macdamization for a long, which was indicative of callous attitude towards people’s issues on the part of concerned authorities, he said.
PCC General Secretary also demanded repair of transformer in Wani Mohalla Diver, on war footing basis to ensure that people do no suffer on account of electricity.
Chani also visited house of Mangat Singh a resident of Chaterogam Tral whose house was damaged in a fire incident during the night of 1st November & demanded compensation from the administration in favour of the fire victim.
Adding that LG administration must focus on developmental issues concerning entire Tral and elsewhere in South Kashmir, PCC General Secretary laid emphasizing over ensuring that people must not feel abandoned on account of development they deserve, while seeking adequate and upgradation of health infrastructure in far flung areas, as that, people have to cover long distance to reach tehsil headquarter for their treatment, which was very serious matter, needs to be addressed, by attaching huge importance to this humanitarian issue.
