Awantipora: Vigilance Awareness Week celebrated in IUST

Awantipora: The Vigilance Awareness Week was celebrated in Islamic University of Science and Technology Awantipora on Monday.

The programme was attended by a large number of students and staff members of the university, which continued for full day.

Besides Vice Chancellor, Prof. Shakeel Ahmad Romshoo, and Registrar, Prof. Naseer Iqbal, officers of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB), including its SSP South, were also present.

On that occasion, the speakers made participations aware about the corruption, and asked them to stay away from it.

Registrar, IUST, Prof. Naseer Iqbal administered pledge during the event, in which participants agreed “to follow probity and rule of law in all walks of life.”

Media Advisor to Vice Chancellor, Dr. Monsia Qadiri told Arising State that this programme was conducted by IUST in collaboration with ACB, in which participants were made aware about corruption.

She said that such awareness programmes in the university, will be held in future as well.

Pertinently, The Vigilance Awareness Week is celebrated every year in the birthday week of Sardar Vallabbhai Patel, often referred to as the ‘Bismarck of India’.
