Tral: Awantipora XI win Panzoo Super League, beat Paribal XI in final

Tral, 31 Oct: Awantipora XI team scripted thrilling victory against Paribal XI on Sunday in Panzoo Super League final, which was played in Panzoo area of Tral sub district.

The tournament was concluded today amidst exhilarating and enthusiastic cricketing crowds, with scores of spectators attended to support their favourite teams.

A total of 26 teams participated in the said cricket tournament. The final match was played between Awantipora XI and Paribal XI, in which Awantipora team played superbly and won the final match by 6 wickets.

On the occasion, Waseem Ahmad was declared man of the match, while Maqsood Ahmad was declared man of the series, besides Basharat Nabi was declared ‘Captian Cool’ of the tournament.

Both the teams played spectacular cricket and showed true sportsman spirit throughout the tournament.

Many local personalities were present on that occasion, who gave away the prizes in the closing ceremony of the tournament.

The tournament has been enthusiastically embraced by the people and has thrown up a lot of existing talent in this newly constructed stadium, which however lacks fencing around.

The players as well as locals have demanded fencing as well as up-gradation of the stadium at the earliest.
