‘National Unity Day’ observed in Pulwama

Pulwama: In order to celebrate birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and commemorating it as ‘National Unity Day’ a function was today held at DC Office Pulwama on Sunday.

During the event, a motorcycle rally was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama Baseer Ul Haq Chowdhary which culminated at Pinglena.

The event was organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports Pulwama in collaboration with District administration Pulwama under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mohotsav’ being celebrated the 75 years of India’s Independence.

On the occasion, the DDC highlighted the role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in upholding Indian Unity.

He said the leader worked on national integration and devoted his life to the nation.
