Poonch encounter: Three persons detained in Nepal

Poonch: At least three persons hailing from Mendhar Sub Division area of Poonch’s Mendhar have been detained by police from Kathmandu Nepal. Official sources said that the police also foiled their attempt to flee to Saudi Arabia after their suspected involvement in militancy activities came to the fore.It has been learnt that their names surfaced during investigation of a case registered after an encounter that broke out in Nar forests of Bhata Dhurian village of Mendhar.Official sources told that the trio was reportedly trying to move to Saudi Arabia after boarding a flight from Kathmandu but were detained before they could have boarded the flight.Sources said that their questioning is going on, adding that they reportedly provided logistics to the militants possibly hiding in dense woods of Nar Khas in Bhata Dhurian village of Poonch.
