GDC Tral Organizes One Day Seminar on Gandhi Jayanti

Tral: On the occasion of 152nd birth anniversary of MK Gandhi, Department of History in collaboration with Debates and Seminar Committee of the college organised one day seminar entitled Gandhiji : The Emblem of Global Humanity on 9th of October 2021.

The seminar commenced with the introductory remarks by Dr. Aarif, Department of History, while the inaugural address was delivered by worthy principal Prof. ( Dr) Mohammad Farooq Mir.

He formally welcomed the participants and appreciated the Department of History for conducting such seminars.

A very motivating address was delivered by Prof. (Dr) Shakeel Ahmad Khanday (Head, Department of Physics).

Prof. Ishaq Ahmad Wani, Head Department of English, threw light on various teachings of MK Gandhi. A brief speech on Ideals of Gandhiji was made by Prof. Laila Khalid ( Convenor Debates ,Seminar and Cultural Committee).

Dr. Fahmida Wani, Head, Department of History also shared valuable views of Gandhi regarding global humanity.

During the technical session students of various semesters illuminated various teachings of MK Gandhi which are solutions for the present day polarised world.

The entire programme wàs moderated by Dr. Aarif .Vote of Thanks was presented by Dr. Jaasirah, Department of Public Administration.
