Jammu becomes victim of BJP hollow slogans: Manjit Singh
Failed to develop Jammu on tourism map, provide employment
Jammu: Apni Party, Provincial President, Jammu, Manjit Singh today said that Jammu has become the victim of BJP’s politics of vote bank and false promises which were never fulfilled.Addressing two separate joining programmes at Gandhi Nagar’s Apni Party Office, Manjit Singh said that the promises which the BJP did with the people remained unfulfilled and the dreams of development which they sold before August 5, 2019 are yet to be achieved. The joining programme was organised by Adv Neesha Bhagat, Secretary Women Wing, Jammu Province in which over five dozen people from Phallian Mandal joined Apni Party in presence of senior leaders at Gandhi Nagar Party Office.
“The youth were misled with a promise to provide them employment. But unemployment has increased. As far as development is concerned, it is nowhere,” he said.He said that the non-performance of BJP has put people under financial distress.“The tourism sector is in the worst condition like the transport, business, and industrial sector. The people are losing their jobs and the unemployment is increasing even in the private sector. The Govt has not been able to hold recruitment on the vacant posts,” he said.He said that with every passing day, the people are joining the Apni Party in large numbers after leaving other political parties.
“People have developed faith in the Apni Party that is why they are joining us. We are committed to fulfill what we have promised to the people. We will never compromise with regard to stability and development in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said and added that the people have suffered for the last thirty years due to the political parties which have left them unrepresented. However, the Apni Party will continue its fight for the cause of the people and our struggle for peace, prosperity and development will also continue.
He said that “The suffering of people has doubled but the BJP like all other political parties is silent. It is the only Apni Party which represents the sentiments of the people unlike others in J&K. We make promises which are achievable. And, I hope that the politics of emotional blackmailing both in Jammu and Kashmir will end.”
Meanwhile, he demanded that the delaying elections in Jammu and Kashmir will further add to the suffering of the people. “J&K should get its statehood back before elections as it is the pride of Dogras,” he demanded and said that the Apni Party will continue its fight for the protection of jobs for the locals and rights of locals in mining works.
