Pulwama: Leopard caught by wildlife dept in Pampore

Pampore, 8 June: A leopard was caught alive by a wildlife team in Pampore town of Pulwama district in South Kashmir, official said on Tuesday.
He said that “locals of Munpora village in Wuyan Pampore informed wildlife department, about the presence of some leopards, following which a cage was placed there.”
As per the official, after consecutive efforts, leopard was trapped in the cage, and is being shifted to zoo now.
The official appealed people “to take care of their children, and inform the wildlife team immediately about the presence of leopards from their areas.”
He said that efforts are going on to trap other leopards in Pampore area.
