DIG South Kashmir distributes Wheel Chairs among physically challenged persons of police families
Anantnag June 1 (Arising State): DIG South Kashmir Abdul Jabbar today distributed wheelchairs among 18 physically challenged persons at a function organized at District Police Lines Anantnag.
The beneficiaries hail from families of police personnel posted in Anantnag district, a police statement issued reads.
DIG SKR interacted with the beneficiaries and assured them all support from the police department to make their life easy.
While interacting with them he said that the persons with physical challenges need to be taken care of by society and the police department will always play its role in this regard.
He advised the police officers and jawans to show empathy and kindness towards such a segment of society and come forward with a helping hand to make them feel part and parcel of society.
He also asked the beneficiaries not to allow their physical infirmities to come in their way to stay active in their lives in pursuits that suit them. SSP Anantnag Imtiyaz Hussian was also present on the occasion.
