Anantnag Police arrests drug peddler recovers narcotic substance

Anantnag Police has once again shown its commitment to eradicate the drug menace by apprehending notorious drug peddlers. On specific information, SHO Mattan established a Naka at Akura Junction and apprehended one person namely Ghulam Mohi ud din Sheikh S/O Mohd Munavar resident of Bon Nambal and recovered about 15Kgs of bung powder and 08Kgs of poppy Straw from his possession.
In this case ,FIR no.50/2021 under relevant sections of the law stands registered in Police Station Mattan and investigation has been taken up.
Anantnag Police once again appeals the people of the District to come forward with the information regarding drug peddlers so that curative steps can be taken against them.
