Tral, 3 May: Amid campaigning about the importance of COVID-19 vaccination, the sub-district hospital Tral and its associated health centres lack vaccine, thereby making it difficult for people to get vaccinated.

Locals said that they have been moving here and there in search of vaccination, but no vaccine is available anywhere in Tral.

One of the locals Abdul Gani said that he has been waiting for the vaccination for a couple of days, but the officials are saying, ” vaccine is not available here.”

He said that he visited health centre Dadasara earlier, where medicos suggested him to go to SDH Tral for vaccination.

“When I visited SDH Tral, I didn’t get any vaccine here also. Even it was my second visit to the hospital, but no vaccination is available here, contrary to govt claims,” Abdul Gani said.

Another local Bashir Ahmad said that SDH Tral is a sub-district hospital, the largest in the area, where vaccines should have been available.

He said that people are worried here as doctors only give assurances to them in place of vaccination.

The locals demanded that the supply of vaccine should immediately be made available in the hospital to cater to the needs of the people.

ADC Tral, Shabir Ahmad Raina while talking to Arising State said that he would look into the matter.
