Exiled KPs need urgent attention of Govt amidst pandemic crisis:  KPC

Kashmiri Pandit Conference ( KPC ) in meeting at New Delhi today while discussing about ongoing serious effects of second wave of  deadly Corona-virus disease in the country in particular at Jammu, Delhi and other places and  appealed central  as well as J&K UT governments to come forward urgently to help the poor and resource-less displaced KP community financially and otherwise, before it may not take any bad shape, in particular in the areas where our poor displaced KP,s are mostly residing.                                                                                                                                                 Kundan Kashmiri, President KPC in the meeting stated that in the current wave corona-virus crisis and the ensuing lock-down, most of the victim displaced KP,s languished in different parts of the country, in particular, their victim youths are worst sufferers and also became jobless as factories closed, supply chains shut down and services frozen.He said although the Narendra Modi government has announced several social protection schemes for the poor of the country,but unfortunately nothing visible for the said victim Kashmiri Pandits in exile who are suffering badly during these hard times. .

    He further stated that this exiled community of Kashmiri Pandits has huge sections of people who need urgent help and assistance at this crucial time as they have no land to cultivate, no orchard, shop, or business to run so it has become very difficult for them to sustain their life on a pity amount of relief which is around of rupees one hundred per day.He said that special focus is also needed on KP,s residing in Camps and non–camp areas of Jammu, Delhi and others where a large population of our displaced community is dependent on meager monthly Relief during these bad days, essentially in need of medicines, supply chain of day to day eatables and release of their relief well in time or in advance as they have no any other source of income to take care of themselves and their families.KPC appeal center as well as J&K UT governments to come forward at the earliest to help  resource-less displaced KP community, in particular their youths who are  putting their high  hope and faith in Modi Ji Governments at the center to see them through in these tough times.
