Govt to provide vaccine free of cost for 18-45 age group, health department to constitute panel to work out the logistics
Office of LG wrote on Twitter, “It has been decided that COVID-19 vaccination for people in the age group 18-45 years will be cost-free in the UT. The cost of the vaccine will be fully borne by the government of J&K. The health department will constitute a panel to work out the logistics”.
It is pertinent to mention here that the central government earlier announced that from 1st may, every person above 18 years will be given a dosage of Vaccine and added that the Price of vaccine “Covishield” will be decided by the State, UT Government.
The state, UT Government has to buy it at rates of 400 INR while Private hospitals will be charged 600 INR for each dosage. Hence the state government has to decide further will they charge any amount or will provide it free of cost.
