Kupwara Administration imposes Covid-19 restrictions across district

The District Administration Kupwara is successfully implementing the restrictions imposed as per the guidelines of the Government to contain the ill effects of the Covid-19 pandemic in the district.

The Magistrates, police officers, and Team ARTO were seen on roads to implement the restrictions across the district.

50 percent of shops in all towns of Kupwara district including town Kupwara, Handwara, Tangdhar, Trehgam, Kralpora, Wilgam, Langate, Drugmulla, Sogam and Lalpora were seen closed today, following the orders issued by District Magistrate Kupwara.

Likewise, public transport was seen plying only at 50 percent of its authorized seating capacity.

Night curfew is also being implemented in letter and spirit in all the 3 Municipal Committees of the district, viz, Kupwara, Handwara, and Langate. People have been asked to follow the restrictions as per the guidelines of the Government, avoid venturing out unnecessarily, ensure the usage of masks, sanitizers and maintain social distance everywhere.
