Handwara Police arrests two Notorious Drug peddlers in NDPS Case

Handwara police Continuing its war against the menace of drugs, a police party of Police Post Langate headed by Sub Inspector Shahid Nazir established a Naka at DanadKadal Tulwari Langate Saturday.

During checking of the vehicles, a police party intercepted a vehicle Santro bearing Regd. No. JK09/0504 from which 02 persons were apprehended tactfully.

During the search of the Vehicle and said persons, 01 kg of Heroin substance has been recovered. Both the persons have been arrested and the vehicle they were travelling in has been seized on spot.

The arrested persons have been identified as Javid Ahmad khan S/o Dulat Mohammad khan R/O Gund Chubutra and Mohd Yousf Bhat S/o Ab Aziz a R/O Pingroo.

Accordingly, legal action has been taken and case FIR no. 93/21 u/s 8/22  NDPS act of PS Handwara has been registered against the accused persons and investigation taken up.

This act is hugely hailed by general public of the area. Handwara police appeal the people of Handwara District to come forward with the information regarding drug peddlers so that curative steps can be taken against them. Handwara Police is committed to continuing its efforts and war to make Handwara drug-free.
