Follow teachings of Dr Ambedkar: Shailender Vaid

Paying homage to Bharat Ratna Dr. BR Ambedkar on the occasion of his 130th Birth Anniversary, a senior BJP leader Shailender Vaid Wednesday urged every citizen to take a solemn pledge to realize the ideals of economic and social justice, equality of opportunity and fraternity as suggested by Dr. Ambedkar. In his message, Vaid said, “Dr. Ambedkar envisioned a society where the weaker sections, the historically deprived, peasants, labourers, and especially women, get equal rights and respect”. He was an ardent advocate of resolving all issues through democratic, peaceful, non-violent and harmonious means.Vaid said the Chief Architect of the Constitution of India was an outstanding leader of our freedom struggle  and we need to follow in his footsteps.The path shown by him strengthens the spirit of fraternity, compassion and equity,Vaid added.Ambedkar was also the flag bearer for gender equality and fought for equal rights for women in inheritance and marriage. He had a vision for women empowerment and some of the laws granting equal opportunities to women are due to the efforts of Baba Saheb.Hailing him as a great scholar who devoted his life time  in the service of the Nation, Vaid said Dr. Ambedkar’s philosophy and life are an inspirational profile of courage and conviction. On this day, let us take a pledge to learn from Dr. Ambedkar’s life and thoughts, and follow his teachings.”He said Babasaheb’s thoughts and ideals continue to give strength to millions. we are committed to fulfilling the dreams he had for the nation.
