Massive COVID-19 testing held at GDC Tral

Tral: In continuation to the efforts made by government to reach out to public at large scale for testing and vaccination, a massive sampling /test drive for COVID-19 was organised by the Department of Health and Family Welfare at Govt. Degree College Tral on Thursday.

During the drive, 272 (male 84, female 188) samples of students and staff were taken.

Keeping in view the surge in cases in the 2nd wave of COVID-19, the sampling /testing was inevitable for the administration and to continue teaching learning process in a safe and healthy environment.

This step has been applauded by the parents of the students.

The Principal of the college Prof.(Dr) Mohammad Farooq Mir in his concluding remarks thanked the students for their cooperation and also appreciated this initiative of BMO, Tral Dr. Bashir Ahmad Malik, ADC Tral Er. Shabir Ahmad Raina for prioritising GDC Tral in conducting the testing camp.

NSS units and Medical Aid Committee of the college coordinated the drive.
