CRPF man allegedly strangles his wife to death in Anantnag

Anantnag, Mar 29 : A CRPF personnel namely Shankar Nayak belt no:185210073 S/O Raman Nayak R/o Karnataka District Tumkar , deputed with 40th Battalion C coy, deployed at Andernag, Sheer bagh, Anantnag, allegedly strangled his wife to death at their rented house in Nagbal, Sherbagh area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday.

An official told sources that a 36-year-old woman was strangled to death by her husband due to some family issue.

“On visiting his house, the woman’s body was found lying on a ground floor. A strangulation mark was found on her neck,” said an official while identifying the deceased woman as Sumi Bai (36) .

“A case has been registered under relevant sections of law and further investigations have been taken up,” he said.
