Srinagar, March 23: Fire erupted in ‘Pentagon’ building of railways in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Tuesday.
Official sources told a local news agency that soon after the fire was reported, fire tenders were rushed to douse off the flames.
When this report was filed, the efforts by the fire and emergency department were ongoing to bring the blaze under control in the single-story building which is pentagonal in shape and hence the name. It houses the office of the railways and there is a likelihood of damage to the records, they said.
