Urs of Hazarat Sheikh Bakir (RA) celebrated in Tral

Tral: Amid heavy rain, the annual Urs of Hazarat Sheikh Bakir (RA) was celebrated with religious fervour here in Khanagund-Sofigund area of Tral in Kashmir on Monday.

Thousands of devotees from all walks of life throng the famous shrine to pay their reverence to the pious saint.

A joint prayer was held in Shab Khawani a day back, in which devotees prayed for peace, prosperity and Survival from Covid-19.

The shrine on Sunday was decorated with lights and candles, which was followed by mela today.

The devotees who visited there from different areas of Tral and other Kashmir parts visit the shrine every year, which is located on the top of the village.

Devotees offer donations in cash and kind like livestock, rice etc every year in shrine.
