Nowhatta Fire Incident: House turned into ashes, Family still hunts for Rehabilitation,awaits compensation
Over a week ago, after a massive fire turned a three-storey residential house into Ashes in Pandaan Nowhatta area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar District, the Fire victim family still awaits compensation as promised by the District Administration Srinagar.
Life took an ugly turn for Mehraj Din shah when his property was gutted in the fire. The blaze reduced the house to ashes. Even after passing over one week, he is putting up in a Relative’s house here along with a 90-year-old Mother.
The affected family member said that they are still waiting for the compensation as promised by the District Administration as we are living in a miserable condition.
However Additional District Development Commissioner Srinagar, Syed Hanif Balki while talking to news agency-Kashmir news service (KNS) said that the Compensation for the said fire victim is in Process and added that after the required formalities, the compensation will be provided.
Pertinently, the massive fire gutted three-storey residential house of Mehraj Din shah in Pandaan Area of Nowhatta in Srinagar District on 04 March rendered them homeless, however, the cause of this fire was unknown.
