Matric results: Braving odds, Labourer’s daughter in Panzoo Tral secures 498 marks out of 500

Pulwama: Braving the odds, a labourer’s daughter in Tral subdivision of Southern Kashmir secured 498 marks out of 500 in the matriculation results.
The result was declared yesterday morning by the Jammu & Kashmir Board of school education. Meenu Ashraf, daughter of Mohammad Ashraf, resident of Panzoo village in Tral, secured 498 marks out of 500.
Following the result, Meenu’s family members were seen delighted over the success of their girl. It was a jubilation time at the residence of Mohammed Ashraf, a labourer by profession.
Meenu’s family lives hand to mouth , and there are 5 members in her family, however, she was primed to overcome the hardship and finally made her way among the toppers.
Talking to the Arising State, she said,” she is very thankful to Allah, her teachers, and her parents always helped her in preparing for the examinations”.
She further said that her parents supported her a lot and facilitated her in every respect to achieve good results.
“I am so happy after securing 498 marks. I thank Allah, my teachers and my parents for all the support. I request every student to work hard and read books of their choice to pass the exams,” Meenu said.
Meanwhile, the neighbors of Meenu Ashraf were also happy for her achievement and wished her good luck for the future endeavours.

It’s pertinent to mention here that 75% pass percentage was recorded in the matriculation results, with brilliant performance by girl students as compared to the boys.
