Tral: Non-availability of drinking water sparks protest in Nahir village

Tral: The residents of Nahir village in Tral sub district of South Kashmir on Sunday staged a silent protest against concerned dept for failing to restore the water supply in the area.
As per the locals, lack of water supply has been irking the people in Wapar-Mohalla of Nahir in Tral, due to which they are facing the problems.
The aggrieved residents assembled near the village’s Masjid Shareef today morning and demanded that their water supply should be restored at the earliest.
They said that in absence of drinking water, women folk of the village particularly face hardships on daily basis, amid biting cold.
The villagers sought immediate intervention of Deputy Commissioner Pulwama into the matter.
Meanwhile, latest reports said that a team of Jal Shakti dept is on job to restore the supply.
