Snowfall, low visibility disrupts Air traffic for second consecutive day

Out of 31 Flight Movements 28 flights operated 03 flights cancelled: Airport Authorities

 

Srinagar: After Air traffic at Srinagar Airport remained temporarily suspended on Thursday morning for the second consecutive day as many morning flights were delayed and rescheduled in view of the fresh snowfall and low visibility.Earlier Airport Authorities in the morning confirmed on the Twitter morning flights are likely to be delayed due to snowfall.

Notably flight operations were also disrupted yesterday morning and many flights were cancelled due to snowfall and low visibility.An official told that flight operations at Srinagar Airport remained suspended till 12 noon due to low visibility.Earlier, today Airport Authorities had tweeted there might be delay in flights due to fresh snowfall in valley, while updating the travelers who are travelling by Air, Srinagar Airport Authorities tweeted on their Official Twitter Handle, “@Aaisnrairport morning flights likely to be delayed as snowfall is still going on.@AAI_Official .we will come back to you with latest updates.”“Many flights were cancelled today due to weather conditions, only after getting the clearance from the ATC the flight operations were resumed at Srinagar Airport”, an official told.“There were 31 Flight movements today out of which 28 flights operated today and 03 flights were cancelled at Srinagar Airport”, an official told
