BASHARAT RASHID
Tral: A government school which was damaged in a flood at Hajan village of Satoora in Aripal tehsil of Tral sub-district is awaiting repair for around two years.
The aggrieved locals said that govt upper primary school in Hajan village is in a dilapidated condition after it was hit by the floods, some two years back, thereby making it difficult for students & teachers to continue the teaching-learning process in a comfortable manner.
They said that concerned authorities have failed to repair the building even after back to back requests from the people.
A delegation of locals rued, “had authorities took concrete steps that time, school building would’ve been restored a long time back.”
They demanded that authorities should intervene in the matter & should ensure swift repair to the damaged school as soon as possible.
ADC Tral, SA Raina, when contacted, told Arising State that the education department has already taken up the matter with authorities for the release of funds for its repairs.
