Anantnag: FCS&CA department fined Rs 9 lakh 90 thousand against the violators, lodged 22 FIRs

Anantnag: The Enforcement Squad of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Anantnag has recovered a fine of Rs 9 lakh 90 thousand from several erring traders and shopkeepers during market checking within the vicinity of Anantnag town in the last year and first two weeks of January this year.
Talking to Arising state, the Assistant Director Food Anantnag Wali Mohammad said that in last year during market checking officials of FCS&CA department in Anantnag have fined RS 8 lack 84 thousand from erring traders and shopkeepers and have lodged 14 FIRs against the violators during the market checking.
“We have also fined Rs 25 thousand in the first two weeks of January this year and have lodged 8 FIRs against the erring shopkeepers,” he said.
Meanwhile, AD Food Anantnag reiterated that “the drive will continue and strict action under the law shall follow against the violators” and appealed the people to report profiteering by shopkeepers to him & to keep a vigil on errant traders.
