Sopore Dec 28:A telephonic conversation between footballer-turned militant Amir Siraj and his father, wherein Amir is heard saying that it was his wrong choice to join militancy, has been allegedly denied by his family members. According to the sources, the family of the slain militant has denied any conversation with Amir since he had gone missing.
Amir Siraj was killed, along with his associate in an encounter with security forces in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district at Wanigam, Pattan. The family of the slain militant has refuted the audio clip claim, which went viral on social media yesterday.
In the audio in which Amir is heard talking to his father,. The family said that they had no connection with Amir since he went missing and denied the allegations whether any point of contact was maintained between them and Amir when the encounter took place in the Wanigam area.
The slain militant’s father further said,” the person in the audio is addressing him as Aba, and his mother as Boba. While Amir(son)would address him as Abu ji and her mother as Mummy adding,” it is not my Amir’s voice” .
