Karnah-Kupwara NH-701 opens for Traffic

After a fresh spell of heavy snowfall, the Kupwara Karnah NH 701 got closed. After two days of blockage, the NH-701 opens for traffic today by combined efforts of District administration and beacon(BRO). It was said that there were 3 feet of snow was recorded at Sadhna Pass. The Beacon did a brilliant job and work very hard to clear snow from the road. SDM Karnah Dr. Bilal Mohi-u-Din Bhat with the collaboration of Beacon(BRO) and DC Kupwara did a tremendous job to cleared the road in a record time of two days.
Today the traffic was allowed from Tangdar to Kupwara. It was a great relief for the commons. As many students and govt. Employees were stuck in Karnah due to the blockage of NH-701. The opening of the road provides a great relief to everyone. The locals also appreciated the combined efforts of the beacon and district administration for their job.
