Frequent internet suspension irks netizens in South Kashmir

Pulwama, 13 Dec: The frequent internet suspension in South Kashmir parts has been irking the netizens here particularly from Ist December.
Sources said that out of 13 days in December, the internet remained suspended for 6 days so far, in South Kashmir parts, particularly in Pulwama district.
They said that internet suspension takes place ahead of DDC elections in Jammu & Kashmir, which started last month on the 28th of November.
A group of people particularly the students in the Tral area rued that they suffer in view of frequent internet suspension, as many of them miss online classes at a time internet remain blocked.
They said that “internet suspension has become a routine now, which creates chaos among the students who are enrolled in different colleges and universities in and outside the state”.
Besides that, people in different business sectors also suffer ahead of frequent internet suspension, which gives tough time to them.
A netizen namely Sahil Ahmad Shah told Arising State that internet clampdown in South Kashmir is prevalent now, “which causes hardships to everyone directly or indirectly”.
The netizens demanded that internet suspension should only happen in the areas, where elections are scheduled.
Earlier, an official said that frequent internet suspension happens ahead of DDC elections, as a precautionary measure.
