Contestants of DDC, Urban, Panchayat polls being retreated in the name of security cover; alleges Sajad Lone

Peoples Conference (PC) Chairman and PADG spokesperson Sajad Gani Lone on Saturday alleged the government of retreating candidates contesting upcoming DDC, Urban, and Panchayat polls in the garb of security cover.
Lone in a tweet said, “Security is being used as a pretext to impede electioneering. Pre-determining democracy, undermining democracy can have disastrous consequences. We, our children r here to stay. Visitors deputed as administrators better not sow a poison whose venom will be spread over decades”.
Earlier, several independent candidates alleged authorities of disallowing them from carrying out election campaigns and confining them under four walls in the name of providing security.
Notably, authorities in Kashmir took hundreds of political workers and activists to safer locations after unabated militant strikes on political workers led scare in the valley.
