SSB exam sans heating arrangements in Anantnag , Kulgam

Anantnag, 10 Nov: Scores of  SSB candidates who appeared in the Panchayat Accounts Assistant Exams today in south Kashmir’s area of Anantnag and Kulgam District, complained about lack of heating arrangements in their examination centers.

The candidates said that despite chilly weather conditions prevailing in the valley,the authorities had not put in place any kind of heating arrangements in different examination centres. The candidates alleged that due to freezing cold the candidates faced immense inconvenience at examination centres , as a result, they were not able to concentrate on question papers, complained candidates from Anantnag and Kulgam . A few while talking to Arising State said, “We were not able to concentrate, we kept shivering inside the classrooms during the 2-hour long examination  ”.

Majid Hussain,a candidate from kulgam district said that there was no heating arrangement put in place in examination centres by the government. He said that the false claims of authorities about conducting exams smoothly in terms of providing all kinds of facilities particularly heating arrangements, at examinations centers proved to be a mere eyewash. On the ground level, the situation was different, a total disappointment for candidates who appeared in exams today.

However, the District Administration Anantnag claimed that the SSB Examinations for Panchayat Accounts Assistant were conducted smoothly in 54 Examination Centres today in Anantnag for which elaborate arrangements were put in place by the district administration.
