50 RR organises ‘Swachta Hi Seva’ programme in Pampore

Pampore: Army’s 50 RR organized a programme at Government Middle School, Wuyan Pampore on Monday, under the Swachta Hi Seva program, & cleaned the school premises as well as the roads and drainage system in the area.

Reports said that, apart from CO 50 RR, A S Bughat, soldiers, school children and locals also participated.

They said that during the programme, stationery items were also distributed among about 100 school children to educate and motivate the children so that they would not face any difficulty in studying.

On that occasion, CO 50 RR said that the purpose of conducting this program is to create an environment of cleanliness and to highlight the importance of cleanliness among the people so that they keep their surroundings clean and tidy.

The locals appreciated the measures taken by the army and said that the army cleaned up the area which will rid the area of ​​filth.

They added that “by distributing stationery items, the army helped children who could not get an education as they were having no sources to fulfill their educational needs.”
