4 Residential houses gutted in fire mishap in kokernag Sonbrari Anantnag

Anantnag, 24 October: 4 residential houses were gutted in a fire mishap in south Kashmir’s Kokernag area of Anantnag District on Saturday afternoon, sources said.
Reports said that 4 residential houses were gutted in this blazing inferno and at least 4 families have been affected, however, no loss of life or other injury was reported in this incident.
The affected families are as, Bilal Ahmad Dar son Habibullah Dar, Riyaz Ahmad Dar son of Bashir Ahmad Dar, Zaina Begum Widow and Abdul Rashid Dar son of Mohd Abdullah all residents of Chiwkidar Mohalla Sonbrari kokernag.
Reports said that a fire broke out in the house of Bilal Ahmed Dar this afternoon, which engulfed three more residential houses and cattle sheds around him. As soon as the locals saw the fire ,they tried to douse the flames ,said sources. .However, by then the property worth lakhs of rupees had already turned to ashes.
In the mishap all the residential houses were completely damaged, a team of fire and emergency service reached the spot and doused the flames. Reports said.
Official sources said that the exact figure of loss was not immediately known adding that the cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, Kokernag police have taken cognizance of this fire mishap.
