35 sheep killed by leopard attack in Gool Ramban
Srinagar: 35 sheep were killed and 10 more were injured when a leopard attacked them in Gool area of Ramban. An official said that leopard attacked herds of Gulzar Ahmed and Farooq Ahmed chandail both residents of Gundi ghagra in the intervening night of 5th and 6th November in Gagra area of Subdivision Gool. During the attack, 35 sheep were killed and 10 were injured, he said. Locals said that the wildlife department was contacted several times about the movement of wild animals, however, they never took it seriously. They said many cattle have been killed so far in Subdivision Gool from the last few years but the department is in slumber. Sarpanch of the area Ahadullah Mughal appeals to the Government to give compensation to victims.
