Millitant death toll reaches 2 in Kulgam gunfight ,searches continue in area

With the recovery of another body at the encounter site in Kulgam village the death toll of militants killed in the encounter at pre dawn has reached two.The searches in the area are still going on while the internet service has been suspended in the Kulgam district . Nocturnal gunfight broke at Gopalpora area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam where forces had launched CASO following a tip-off about militants hiding there. Sources said that one militant was killed in the initial firefight and the second one’s body was found while searches were conducted there. Meanwhile, mobile Internet has been clamped down in Kulgam for precautionary measures. The operation was being jointly conducted by a team of army’s 34RR and SOG.
