04 Gamblers arrested in Pampore

AWANTIPORA: Police party of Police Station Pampore arrested 04 persons while they were indulged in gambling at public place in village Bagander Pampore.

As per the press release issued to Arising State by the Awantipora police, the arrested persons have been identified as: Mudasir Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Mohd Mir R/O Kadlabal Pampore, Adil Maqbool Dar son of Mohd Maqbool Dar R/O Namlabal Pampore, Mehrajudin son of Mohd Shaban Ganaie R/O Kadlabal Pampore, and Fayaz Ahmad Hajam son of Ghulam Mohd Hajam R/O Kadlabal Pampore.

An official said that Stake money or Rs 13,330/= and a packet of playing cards have been recovered from the possession of the arrested persons from the place of gambling.

He said that a case FIR Number 97/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pampore.

“General Public has hailed the police action against social crimes”.
