03 Drug Peddlers Arrested In Pampore, Cannabis Recovered

Awantipora, 05 Feb: Continuing its drive against the Drug peddlers and its propagators, Awantipora Police arrested three drug peddlers from Pampore area.

An official said, “During vehicular checking at naka Frestabal Pampore near Char Yar Masjid Shareef, Police party of Police Station Pampore arrested 03 drug peddlers identified as: Khalil Ahmad Choudhary S/o Mohd Sharif R/O Rajouri, Hassan Mohd Bajran S/O Fakeer Mohd R/O Rajouri Bagla, Abdul Gani Mir S/O Abli Mir R/O Frestabal Pampore.”

He said that the arrested persons were travelling in a vehicle Ertiga which was signalled to stop and during thorough search, 05 Kgs of grinded cannabis was recovered from the possession of the persons boarding in the vehicle.

“Vehicle Ertiga bearing registration number JK13C-3044 used in the commission of the said crime has also been seized.”

Case FIR Number 10/2022 under relevant sections of NDPS stands registered at Police Station Pampore.

Police Awantipora urge the community members to share information with Police relating to drugs and assured that stringent action shall be taken against these peddlers to eradicate the menace of drugs from our society.
