03 drug peddlers arrested in Pampore, Cannabis recovered

Awantipora 13 Mar: Continuing its drive against the Drug peddlers and its propagators, Awantipora Police arrested three drug peddlers from Pampore area on Saturday.

As per a press release issued by the police, “During vehicular checking at naka Galander Byepass, Police party of Police Station Pampore headed by SHO Pampore Inspector Mohammad Younis arrested 03 drug peddlers identified as: Bilal Ah khan S/O Ghulam Mohiuddin khan R/o Ringballa kupwara, Javid Ah khan S/O Ghulam Mohiuddin khan R/o Ringballa kupwara, and Gazanfar Mukhtar S/O Mukhtar Ahmad Dar R/O Rawalpora Sannatnagar Srinagar.”

The arrested persons “were travelling in a vehicle Tata Nano, which was signalled to stop and during thorough search, 06 Kgs of grinded Cannabis were recovered from the possession of the persons boarding in the vehicle.”

Police official said that a vehicle Tata Nano bearing registration number JK01P-4633 used in the commission of the said crime has also been seized.

He said that Case FIR Number 29/2021 under relevant sections of NDPS stands registered at Police Station Pampore.
