02 Drug peddlers arrested in Budgam; contraband substance recovered

BUDGAM; 29th July: Continuing its efforts to rein in the menace of drugs from the society, Budgam Police arrested 02 notorious drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession.

Budgam Police recieved an Information about drug peddlers at village Garend Moud Budgam. Accordingly police team of Police station Budgam rushed on the spot and apprehended two drug peddlers who tried to flee from spot upon noticing the police party. During their personal search, *(04Grams of heroine like substance and Rs 13,300 cash)* were recovered from them. The arrested drug peddlers has been identified as:- *01.Khursheed Ahmad Dar @ Shil Punjabi,* &
*02.Gulzar Ahmad Dar @ Gule Punjabi both Son of Mohd Akbar Dar Residential of Nasirullah Pora Budgam.*

Case FIR number *250/2022* under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Budgam & investigation taken up.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
