Grateful to Budgam, Focused on Delivering for J&K”: Omar Abdullah After Electoral Victory
Srinagar, Oct 08: National Conference (NC) vice president Omar Abdullah visited Budgam to personally thank the local voters for their support in his recent electoral victory.
Addressing the media, he said, “I am deeply grateful to the people of Budgam and across Kashmir for their faith in the National Conference. Our main focus now is to meet the expectations of the people in Jammu and Kashmir.”
According to the latest data from the Election Commission, the NC is leading in 41 seats, while its coalition partner, Congress, is ahead in six constituencies. This brings their combined tally to 47 seats out of the 90 contested.
Omar Abdullah secured the Budgam assembly seat, defeating PDP candidate Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi by a margin of over 18,000 votes.
