GDC Tral students protest, demand release of detained collegemate after he appears in exam amid security
Tral 31, March: The students in Govt Degree College Tral on Wednesday staged a protest demonstration against the detention of one of the college students, demanding his release.
The protests erupted after the detainee was taken to college’s exam hall by a team of J&K police, following which students assembled inside the college campus to protest against his detention.
Protesting students were chanting slogans in favour of their collegemate, and demanded his immediate release from police detention.
Reports said that police team accordingly pacified the protesting students and ‘arrested’ couple of them.
However, the situation remained normal in the area.
