Week after allegedly set ablaze by in-laws, Anantnag woman succumbs at SMHS hospital Srinagar

Anantnag 01 April: A week after allegedly set ablaze, a 32 year old woman from Aakura Mattan succumbed to her injuries at Srinagar SMHS hospital on Thursday evening.

The 32 year old woman sustained severe burn injuries after she was allegedly set ablaze by her in laws at Akura Mattan area of Anantnag District on Thursday last week.

A video had already gone viral on social media in which the victim had allegedly that  accused,   her husband and in-laws poured kerosene on her and set her on fire.

Talking to Arising state the victims family members confirmed the news of their daughters death at hospital.

However,police has already registered an FIR no  20/21 under section 309 of the Indian penal code  in the case.
